A total of 76 players entered this shuffleboard tournament which ran from July 10th to 14th, 2017.
Many volunteers stepped forward to ensure a positive outcome: ATM’s were Mary Davis, who directed much of the program, with assistance from Helen Noeltner and Ruby Best. The board crew members were Ron Needham, Chuck Davis, Don Cook and Bob Henderson. Head ref was George Hayner as Dennis Iszler handled the scoring supervision.
Contributions to the funding were The Bank of Hemet, Minda Needham, Barbara Jones and Donalee Allen who scoured the business community to bring in a “plethora” of gift certificates used in the drawing for give-away prizes. These prizes were valued at $382.00. Many thanks to these merchants who made the contributions:
I-Hop Restaurant, Farmer Boys Restaurant, Dickey’s Barbeque Restaurant, Emilio’s Restaurant, Milano’s Pizza, Sprouts Markets, and Stater Brothers at two different locations.
Thanks again to The Bank of Hemet for their generous funding of the cash awards to the winners. Entry fees contributed greatly to these awards.
Lunches for $5.00 and $6.00 each day were made possible by Café di Catering. Menu selections were a variety of sandwiches: turkey, roast beef, hamburgers, cheeseburgers and hot dogs in addition to diced chicken salad.
There were two lucky winners in the 50/50 drawing with half of the funds going to the 7 Hills shuffleboard to help defray expenses.
The Bank of Hemet representative, Aaron Young paid us a visit to say “Hello” and commend the club for a smoothly run event. We thank the bank again for their support,
We salute this elite cadre of eight players for their success in the Memorial Tournament. (Each winner received a pin and a cash award –
