How do we define “Esprit de Corps”? = Try 10- team tournament and, 102 players getting together for that team tournament! All team members were selected with a distribution of Red, White, Blue, Green and Purple experience.
Hosted by Hemet West where 10 courts really came in handy. The event was held from Sept. 6th to 8th, 2017.
Lagging for color had a new format: A coin flip on each court determined which team might choose which color.
All games, 12 frames and the winners received 2 points, ties received one point. ties were not played off but otherwise games played under CSA rules.
Thanks to The Bank of Hemet, their sponsor money went to District 7 and to Hemet West.
Captains and Co-captains for the teams were, respectfully: Tootie Chitenden and Paul Epps, Helen Noeltner and Vicki Dumars, Jeannie Gregory and Carol Blasingame, George Baslak and Howard Harrell, Lynda Goggin and Al Elias, Rita Diedrich and Jan Stephens, Ruby Best and Wanda Souza, Nadine Hackett and Fran Hayner, Krissy Brinegar and Ann Cantu, and Dennis Iszler and Jim Hutson. Boards were maintained by Charles Smith, Kenny Norris and Paul Epps. George Hayner was head ref; Great job! Scorekeeping was in the hands of Glenda Epps and Nelda Nichtwald. Many thanks to all those volunteers.
