The 2026 Any Doubles Tournament, hosted by the Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club in Cathedral City, CA is now in the history books. Forty-four doubles entries competed. The weather was great, the lunches provided during this 4-day tournament were great, the volunteers were great….. all in all it was another great tournament.

The board crew, Lyle Bremner, Pierre Hachey & Roland Marohn, had the boards prepared and ready to play each morning and their crew kept things running smoothly throughout the tournament. Gary Foster, the Head Referee, with the help of Ward Wallace, was able to have referees for all 66 boards used during the tournament. Head Scorekeeper, Charlene Bremner, also Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club President, did a great job in having scorekeepers in place for every game. Emma Forbes, head of the kitchen crew, was in the kitchen bright and early every morning to make sure everything was organized for the Gayle Kalke, handled the 50/50 raffle each day. This tournament, once again, ran like a well-oiled machine.
