I am pleased to announce that Shirley Eager of District 5 has been awarded the USA National Hall of Fame Special Award. She started shuffling in 2008 and has since had many accomplishments in the world of shuffleboard. She is always promoting shuffleboard and setting a good example for everyone.

28 ROOKIES COMPETE IN DISTRICT 5 TOURNAMENT
Twenty-eight rookies, representing 7 of the 9 shuffleboard clubs in District 5, competed under sunny skies at Ramon Park in Palm Springs on January 15 & 16. The weather was ideal and the shuffling was superb. The Ramon Shuffleboard club members did an outstanding job of introducing the rookie shufflers into tournament play.

Desert Challenge ’23
This year’s Desert Challenge between District 5 & District 7 took place at the Lakes of Hemet West on January 13th, 2023. District 7 took back the trophy plaque with a score of 24 to 16 wins. Thanks to the Tournament Directors, Shirley Eager (left, D5) and Jeannie Gregory (right, D7) for putting this on.
