At the Oldlympics banquet, Tuesday, Oct. 6th, eight players queued up to accept their well-deserved medals.
They had to overcome the challenge of somewhat capricious boards at the iconic Hemet Muni venue from
Sept 21st to Sept. 24th. All games were 12 frames.
The facilitators of the tournament underwent a title change from “ATM’s” to “Co-directors”. This included Lynda
Goggin and Sharyn DiChiro , who not only supervised the event, but also created the charts for some eighty participants
who vied for a place in Oldlympics history.
The head referee was Dennis Iszler while Karla Winget collected and certified all score cards.
With the savvy of a veteran, one new competitor stepped up to earn a spot in the championship bracket. Congratulations
to Jerry Hagans for achieving that category. All of the players in the championship round were enjoying their first
