Recently District 5 held their annual 4-day Any Doubles Tournament. The host club was Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club with the satellite being Tramview Shuffleboard Club both from Cathedral City.
Champion Division winners: Champions: Bryan Reador & Gary Adams (green shirts) Palm Desert Greens; 2nd: Gene & Shirley Eager (purple shirts) Indian Wells RV Park; 3rd: Ron & Brenda Grant (light green shirts) Desert Crest; and 4th: Hugh Crozier & Jim Montague (turquoise shirts) Ramon Shuffleboard Club.
Consolation Division winners: Champions: Jerry & Nancy Grieve (purple shirts), Indian Wells RV Park; remaining “red shirters from Royal Palms”- 2nd: Bud & Thelma Lundquist; 3rd: Matt Keller & Bob Little; 4th: Lyle McClanahan & J.W. Brown.
The next District 5 tournament for these winners is the Tournament of Champions to be hosted by the Desert Crest Shuffleboard Club in Desert Hot Springs on February 29, March 1 & 2.
